Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for various development projects in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, and Yavatmal, Maharashtra. In Thoothukudi, the initiation of the Outer Harbor Container Terminal at VO Chidambaranar Port, with the aim of transforming it into a transshipment hub, will be a key focus. The projects also prioritize making the port the first Green Hydrogen Hub, incorporating initiatives like a desalination plant and hydrogen production facilities.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister is set to launch India’s inaugural indigenous green hydrogen fuel cell inland waterway vessel. Shifting to Yavatmal, Maharashtra, the PM will dedicate projects valued at Rs 4900 crore, placing a significant emphasis on farmers’ welfare, with over Rs 3 lakh crore allocated for 11 crore families.

He will disburse a Revolving Fund to women’s Self Help Groups, inaugurate the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana for OBC beneficiaries, and distribute one crore Ayushman cards. Future plans encompass inaugurating irrigation and rail projects, flagging off two train services, and bolstering the road sector in Maharashtra.
